EDITION 13
Local Insights:
Greater Mayfield
Mayfield is one of the oldest and largest suburbs with roots in mining and BHP.
Mayfield has been drawing in more and more young couples or families who are helping to create a close-knit community of people who love the mixture of old and new that the homes here have to offer, as well as its close proximity to the city, parks and local hang-outs.
Maitland Road runs through the centre of Mayfield, and is a busy hub of shops and other essential services. A number of popular cafes have opened, including Equium Social, Side Pocket Espresso and Onyx. The popular watering holes include the Stag and Hunter Hotel and The Beauford. Both local public schools Mayfield East and West are ranked highly, as well as St Columban’s Primary and San Clemente High School.
Not to be forgotten, Mayfield West and East, each have their own unique vibe with leafy streets and hidden pockets that the locals love to enjoy.
